Heathfield Family from Willesborough in Kent, England

We are tracing the Heathfield family who originated from Willesborough in Kent during the 1700’s.

The oldest family member we have identified is Thomas Heathfield who was born in Willesborough in about 1742.

Since that time subsequent generations have moved away to various other parts of Kent including Smarden, Barham, Canterbury, Walmer, Staplehurst, Birchington and Bethersden.

Trivia:

During the Second World War Frederick Harold Heathfield took responsibility for the maintenance and protection of Barham Railway Station. As a consequence the road leading to up to the station in Barham was called Heathfield Way in recognition of his work. Fox Way in Barham was similarly named after the station porter.
