We are tracing the Munday family who originated from Biddenden in Kent during the 1800’s.

The oldest family member we have identified is Thomas Alfred Munday who was born in Biddenden in 1854.

Since that time subsequent generations have moved away to other parts of Kent or Sussex including Barham, Eastbourne and Maidstone.

Trivia:

Charles Robert Munday was the owner of the Sportsmans Arms Public House in Barham during the Second World War. Charles and his daughter Eva played host to ENSA artistes who toured the area whilst entertaining the troops. We have uncovered an autograph book with numerous names and personal comments from that time.
